A Time of Thanks

This Thanksgiving was wonderful as always... the boys upstairs watching the football game while the ladies were watching the kids downstairs. This year the kids were either sleeping or entertained by watching a movie while the ladies had the chance to play games. It was a lot of fun!
This time of year gives each of us a chance to reflect on our blessings...
I am grateful for the perfect gospel that enriches our lives
I am grateful for a husband who loves me and works so hard for our family
I am grateful for a daughter who teaches me so much everyday
I am grateful for loving family and friends
I am grateful for the opportunity we have to gain an education
I am grateful for blogging so I can keep in touch with old friends!
Now it's your turn to reflect on your blessings in life.

Let it snow!

We awoke this morning to find it snowing outside... first time for Boise this winter. I put on Ella's snowsuit and let her play in it! She absolutely loves playing outside. Whenever she hears the front door open she makes a quick dash to get outside. Even though by 10am the snow was completely melted, she had fun while it lasted.

Deputy

With Scott's new promotion his other title is "Deputy Coroner" and gets to wear a badge. Here he is posing... so proud. We hear that cops can go into donut and coffee shops, show their badge, and get free food! We'll have to try it sometime. This last weekend he had another Dental School interview at USC in Los Angeles. He thinks it went well, even though they do interviews a little different there... more like a group discussion. But we'll find out in December what's up for our future!

Halloween Night

Our ward had a Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween night and Ella's friend Katie had fun playing together as little bugs. I went as a cowgirl and Scott went as "Dirty Sanchez"... for those of you who don't know what that is, ask your husband or anyone who played high school/college football (locker room humor). He took the picture, so darn it, we didn't get a picture of him. But he wore a poncho and a cowboy hat and a mustache. Check out our pumpkins. Mine was the ghost and tombstone one, and Scott's of course was a BSU Bronco. I finished his for him since the game was on, so I am pretty proud of them both!

Party Time

I took Ella to a halloween party while Scott was out of town on one of his interviews, and she was not in a happy mood this night (I had to wake her from her nap in the car), as you can see her balling her eyes out.

Pumpkin Patch

Although Scott was working, we went to the pumpkin patch with his parents and sister. Ella loved the kiddy ride, but her favorite was this family dog. She kept saying, "bark bark" when the dog came near.

Promotion!

Good job Scott! He moved up to Crime Scene Investigator from the Forensic Technician job he's at right now. So, he'll be going out more on the crime scenes instead of doing mostly autopsies. It's just a job he's interested in until he gets into Dental School. He's had two interviews the past two weekends: Indianapolis, Indiana and Lousiville, Kentucky. We'll find out what happens November 30th, so wish him luck! :)
