{shoe up the nose}

While out on date night Friday night, we were called with some startling news just as we were walking out of the restaurant: Cole had put a polly pocket shoe up his nose and they couldn't get it out!  So, Scott to the rescue, figures he'll pull out his dental equipment and do some nasal surgery
 on this poor little guy...

Cole was totally freaking out and crying and thrashing as hard as can be. I can only imagine someone poking and proding up my nose...

So, after doing this a while, we realize this baby is now out of sight and too far to be reached with dental tools, so off to the ER we went at 10pm... and there we were until 1:30am to have the doctor strap his arms behind his back and tie him down to the bed so he couldn't get his arms free, and then not be able to find anything there! So, the exrays didn't show any sign of a soft plastic in the film; we didn't think it would.  And, now it's the best part of all: the waiting game and scavenger hunt in his diaper! Fun times!

New 'Do

This is me and the kids before Stake Conference last Sunday. The kids matched so I wanted to get a picture of them. It was hard to get one, since our camera's battery was dying, but the kids are actually laughing here. It's hard to see my new haircut here... but here's a pic for my sisters who requested to see it, since they live so far away!

Notre Dame Game

Scott and his buddies from our ward took a man's weekend and spent the night in Chicago,  ate some deep dish pizza, toured the amazing city,  went to an amish buffet the next day on their way to South Bend for the Notre Dame game against Utah.

He had a good time goofing around with his buddies: Brad, Preston and Chucky.

Dancing Qeen

Ella LOVES to put on dancing videos and her big pink tutu (thanks Nana!) and dance forever around the family room!

Happy Halloween 2010

 We had so much fun this year for Halloween and dressing up. We went to the Beck's Bonfire party where we all dressed up, and cooked hot dogs over the fire.
Here I am as "I Dream of Genie" with Scott as my "master" or leiutenant, whatever his name is. I'm trying to do that one move where she puts her arms out and bobs her head for magic. Can't really tell in a picture though!

Cole loved his purple dragon costume. He kept pointing to his hood to people would see it.

Ella was not just an ordinary Native American, she was "Pocahantas"

We also went to our Ward Truck-or-Treat and the kids loved getting candy in the parking lot. And then we also went to our dental friend's Halloween Party as pictured above. Scott was working that day, and didn't make it, but it was lots of fun! We were a little "halloweened-out" by the end of all the parties that we weren't really excited for the actual Halloween night. My kids loved handing out the candy this year, and never asked why they weren't dressed up.
