First Pool Day of Summer

Brittany's mother graciously offered to have us come over for a pool day, and it was so nice... the first 90 degree day of the season! Ella loved Adrienne's barbie jeep, and probably rode that more than swimming.
Cole wasn't a big fan of the water

Ella & Adrienne: BFF

We put the boys to sleep and the girls were watching a movie inside while we got our work-out on! Alene was a water aerobics instructor in college and taught us a class... seriously felt that burn!

So cute.
We had a ton of fun! Thanks for letting us come, please have us come again!

Joyschool Graduation Pictures

I guess it's not really her actual Joyschool Graduation, since we'll do another year of it, but one of the mothers did took these today, the last day of Joyschool and they turned out real cute.
Ella has become really good friends with all the girls: Adrienne, Ella & Ivy. She LOVED it so much, and hopefully we'll get more kids to do it with us in the Fall!

Indy 500

Scott was lucky to get a couple free tickets (thanks Matt) to the Priliminary's of Indy 500. He took Ella with him as a daddy-daughter date.It was very loud, and Ella held her ears everytime a car passed by, which was every 3 minutes.
The Marines were there showing off some of their equipment, and Scott was fascinated.

It looks like Ella knew exactly what she was doing, and even giving the marines some advice! I guess this machine gun shot 50 caliber bullets.

Ella finally got some earplugs and they went to see Bigfoot. The biggest Monster Truck.

I'm glad they went and had a great time. Ella loves her one-on-one time with daddy!

Fishing Trip

Scott is lucky that he found some good dental student buddies that like to go fishing just as much as he does. He went to some fancy lake house and got to fish for 2 straight days...

Beautiful sunset

He had a great time... and proud of the fish he caught! He even filet and ate them himself, brave man.

6th Anniversary: French Lick

For our 6th Wedding Anniversary, we went to French Lick, Indiana. It was only a couple hours southwest of Indy. The architecture of the hotels were basically what sold us for going there.
There was this huge wrap-around porch with rocking chairs where we ate some ice cream one night after dinner.

The ceilings were hand painted replicas of Michaelangelo's paintings.

the lobby

the indoor pool
(also had outdoor pool, hot tub, bowling ally, fitness center, golf courses, etc.)

Then we went to tour the West Bayden Hotel, just down the street from the French Lick Resort. It was built in 1902, and the resort in 1901.

I loved these cushion chairs, so relaxing, I could've rested there all day...

Scott liked these fancy cars: Bently, Mercedes, etc.

The grounds on the West Bayden were beautiful

When we were leaving the hotel, it was some armed forces celebration and there were hummers, troops, and flags everywhere. Scott's highlight was sitting in the gunner seat about to shoot that big gun. Probably as close as he'll get to the real thing, only in your dreams, babe!

Then we took a train ride through town...

Scott was really excited to see the hoop at the house where Larry Bird grew up... just a little disappointed at what was left of the backboard on the barn.

And here's the view of the house during the train ride

Beautiful typical Indiana scenery... green at all times
"I'm Sailing" or "Titanic" pose

It was a great trip, very nice and relaxing!! A million thanks and IOU's to my friend Brittany for watching our kids.
