Wallowa Lake, Oregon

While visiting my parents in Oregon we took a day trip to the beautiful Wallowa Lake. Fred took his boat out and we went tubing.

Ella was deathly scared and didn't last for more than 5 minutes out there.

Above is Cole and Scott riding. We went super slow so Cole wouldn't get scared like Ella did, but he was LOVIN' every minute of it!  Below is a picture of my mom and I riding. Good thing there was a hole for my big preggo belly!

La Grande, Oregon Camping

My mom and Fred took us camping (my style: with trailer and full kitchen/fridge to cook) near La Grande, Oregon. It was really pretty on all the off-roading trails.
My mom, my kids and I took this trip to the highest point in our camping area and the kids had a blast riding and seeing all the scenic outlooks.

Cole had a BLAST riding the 4-wheelers. He got on once when it was running and started riding it by himself. We had to run after him and take out the key!

We made cherry/apple cobbler in the dutch oven. Yummy!

High Adventure Camping

Scott took a bunch of buddies, including his dad for a week up to the Sawtooth Mountains.  First leg of the trip was all bush wacking... no trail.

In the middle of the trip they took a break from camping and got a cabin with a hot tub.

And Scott caught a fish... with his BARE hands! Watch the video above.
They also stopped at Kirkham Hot Springs
They had a great time and Ella was a champ! She loved every second of it, and I'm sure they will do something like this again next summer.

Cascade Lake, ID

We took a little trip to Cascade Lake and stayed in this nice cabin with a hot tub and fenced in backyard! Scott and his dad did some fishing, we went swimming in the lake and had lunch on the beach. The kids had so much fun with their cousins as well.

Boise Fun

Ella learned how to do the hula-hoop when visiting Grandma and Grandpa Thompson's house.
Watch the video of her above!
We spent the first couple weeks in and out of Boise. Ella and Cole had so much fun with their cousins at the splash pad park, doing a scavenger hunt, and Ella had a birthday party there! Thanks so much Aunt Kassie for making it, she LOVED it!

Happy 4th of July 2011

We had a very eventful day today, starting out with raspberry picking at a neighbor's house in our ward, then Scott fixing his car that broke down on the way home from church yesterday, then our ward party and a friend's party for fireworks!
Yay for the 4th of July!

We had THE most amazing show of fireworks. The Hendrick's neighbor bought probably $1000+ worth of fireworks, the kind that shoot up straight into the air and explode like the ones at Disneyland! Yes, it was amazing, thanks for having us over, my kids LOVED it!

Ella LOVES sparklers... I should've gotten a box just for her!

And what 4th would be complete without Jennalee's fabulous cake pops? Loved them!
Happy 4th of July 2011!

D is for Dentist

The kids had their first ever dental appointments today, by their daddy!  Ella was a little timid at first, and Cole seemed like a pro. Proud to report: no cavities!

PBS Kids came to downtown Indy at Military Park. Ella was so excited that day, as if she was going to Disneyland, I'm sure. She could hardly wait to see George the Monkey, Clifford the Big Red Dog, Cat in the Hat, but especially the Wild Krats brothers. She LOVES the Wild Krats!  We went with our great friends the Goffs!

Here she is watching Martin and Chris Kratt tell their amazing adventures with animals.

Curious George

Duck from Word World

Cow from Chick Fil A

Thank you PBS for totally making my kid's day!
