Scott had an Endo course in Mesa, and it was the perfect excuse to get together with our amazing friends (Jenna & Matt Gunnell) from dental school. We stayed with the Gunnells and they were so gracious to open their home to us. We took all the kids to Jumpstreet in Chandler, and they had a blast.
There were these long trampolines next to each other so they jumped around all over. Then they went into the foam blocks pit. Cole was scared at first, but then they figured the swing of things.
After kid play time, we picked up a sitter and left the kids while Jenna and I had the day to ourselves. She took me out to lunch to this place with amazing shrimp tacos. Then I had my first shopping experience at Last Chance, her favorite store and I can see why. We shopped 'til we dropped (or until we had to go to relieve the babysitter).
When the guys were done with their Endo conference and dove shooting, we left the kids with Matt's mom and went out to eat and to a movie. It was so fun to see the Gunnells, and we really miss living so close to them in Indy. It was a long drive, but SO worth it to see our great friends.
On the way home we drove by the Petrified Forest, and Scott being the scientific minded guy that he is, just HAD to see it. The forest was all turned to rock and it was so cool to see it.
There was this beautiful sunset on the drive out of the national park
