My whole family (minus my husband Scott) went home to California to see my brother get home from serving a mission in Singapore. We left our kids home with a babysitter so we could enjoy seeing him at the Sacramento Airport and then out to a nice welcome home dinner.
We told him he was scruffy, probably from being on a plane for a total of 22 hours!
It was wierd seeing him the first time in 2 years. He was so skinny, he lost like 20 pounds. He said he only ate one meal a day in Malaysia.
We were a little emotional when we were waiting for him to come down the escalator... we even had a false alarm and thought somebody else was him and we all balled. We sure missed him.
Job well done, bro!
His suit coat looked brand new. He never wore it once during the misson. He checked it in at the mission home when he got there and then got it back before he left. He wasn't allowed to wear his name badge at all either.
